Standard wedding etiquette states that ‘before the day’ stationery, such as save the date cards and wedding invitations should have the bride’s name before the groom’s. However, this is completely down to each individual couples’ preferences. You can put the names in any order that suits you!

Save the date cards are not necessary, but we would definitely recommend them. Skipping sending save the dates may mean that your guests don’t have enough time to fully plan their arrangements for your special day, whereas sending them will give them lots of time to prepare!

You should send a save the date card to anyone that you want to attend your wedding, even people that you know will definitely be there. If you are unsure of whether you are going to invite someone, then we would recommend not to send one.
