How to theme your day
Choosing a theme for your wedding may not be the first thing on your mind when looking for save the date cards or wedding invitations, but if you want a coordinated look throughout your wedding it may be something you think about before doing anything else.
Tip: To get ideas, shop around and order some wedding invitation samples. Most good online wedding stationers offer these free of charge.
Save the date cards and wedding invitations are often the first snippet your guests will get of your wedding, so be sure to create the right impression. They can also be used to set the theme or colour scheme of your wedding, for example; if you are having a traditional wedding set in a Stately Home then you may want to choose a more formal design like 'English Roses' or 'Baroque Love Birds'.
If you are thinking about having a wedding with a more laid back feel, perhaps set in a barn or country house then 'Rustic Wedding Lace' or 'Vintage Country Garden' would certainly help set the scene for your special day.
Tip: Before buying save the date cards or wedding invitations, think about what other stationery items you are going to need and check whether they are available? If they are not, then you could end up spending extra time shopping around, only to end up with a mish mash of stationery on the day.
What wedding stationery do I need to buy?
