Wondering what will be THE Wedding colour trend of 2022. Pantone( The Color Experts) have created a brand new shade of blue for its 2022 Colour of the Year - and we think it’s perfect for weddings.

Officially this new colour is called Pantone 17-3938 Very Peri. It is a blue/purple colour that is officially described by Pantone as a “dynamic periwinkle blue hue with a vivifying violet-red undertone”.  This beautiful new colour is set to be a popular choice for fashion, art and home and lifestyle trends for the next 12 months,. Our head of design Natalie also thinks couples across the country will be using it in their wedding styling too

Something blue...

A perfect colour to bring the ‘something blue’ tradition into your wedding. Lisa our Managing Director says…

“We all know the traditions - something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue,” said Lisa Forde, founder of Tree of Hearts. “And something blue can often be a difficult element for brides to include. However this new shade is the perfect modernisation of that."

“Pantone described the colour as blending the faithfulness and constancy of blue with the energy and excitement of red. Which is a beautiful metaphor for marriage.”

“We’re excited to see how the new colour influences the wedding industry,” added Lisa.

“From bridesmaids dresses to floral arrangements, there are lots of ways to make a statement using Very Peri. However, there are also subtle ways to bring the colour into your big day.”

Wedding Styling with the experts

Lisa said wedding stationary is a perfect way to introduce your theme early on.

“For example, with Save the Dates and Wedding Invitations you can start seeding your colour scheme subtly from the very moment your guests first hear from you,” she explained.

“Additionally, on the day, you’ve got everything from table confetti and table plans to order of service and menus that can utilise and bring out your colour of choice.”

Our bespoke colour palette means you can choose from a number of our designs and adapt it to your colour theme.

Natalie, our Head of Design commented:

“Pink has always traditionally been a strong colour choice with our couples, but in recent years we have seen trends of, burgundy, monogram and rustics making a strong appearance in many weddings.”
