Save the Date cards are one of the most important pieces of stationery for your wedding day! They let your guests know when your wedding is, as well as giving them a sneak peek at your wedding theme. But when should you send them?
For most weddings, we recommend sending your Save the Dates around 6 to 9 months before the day.
You may want to start sending your stationery as soon as possible, but this is not a good idea! Waiting to send Save the Dates means you have time to make an adjustments to your wedding plans, whether that's changing the colour scheme or the date of your wedding. If you do then change your wedding plans, you won't have to send out Save the Date cards again - saving you time and money!

Giving guests at least 6 months notice for your wedding means that they can make arrangements for the day, such as booking their travel, accommodation, child care, and time off work.
If you are having an abroad wedding, there is a lot more planning involved. Therefore we recommend giving your guests at least 9 to 12 months notice. Sending your Save the Dates around a year in advance means that people can plan accordingly, and you will likely be able to have more of your loved ones there on the day.
